Live Arrival Guarantee:
DOAs (dead on arrivals) MUST be reported to us with proof in the form of photo or video within ONE HOUR of delivery. DOA reports can be sent either to our email at gambitgeckos@gmail.com, via chat on the website, or to our Facebook or Instagram accounts.
*If you will not be home and someone else will be bringing in your package for you to open when you arrive home, you will need to provide proof with timestamp of them bringing in the package no more than one hour after delivery, such as a doorbell video, photo or text to you of the box with proof of time, etc., along with the typical photo/video of the DOA itself.
DOA proof must be provided within 12 hours of the package being delivered in this instance.
When you are placing your order, please note that Priority shipments will be sent Monday and Tuesday only and are typically 2 to 3 days. If it is only a 2 day travel window, we can send your package out Wednesday. If you won't be home, please add a note in the special instructions box at checkout the date you would need your package to arrive.
Tracking information will be sent to the email address provided at checkout, please use that to track your package. It is the customer's responsibility to watch for this email (it may go to your spam folder) and track the package to make arrangements as needed.
We do our best to responsibly ship isopods and springtails year-round so you don't have to wait for months on end to receive your package, all we ask is that you or someone else will be home to bring in your box as soon as it gets delivered. As long as your temperatures aren't crazy high or low, we will still ship your package. If your temperatures are really high or low, usually above 95 or below 32, we may still be able to ship your package, but we may have it held at a local hub and will be in contact with you if this is needed.
Since geckos are more sensitive to temperatures, our shipping practices are a bit more strict. Temperatures at both shipping and receiving locations must be between 40 and 80F for home delivery. If temps fall below 40 or are above 80, shipments must be held for pickup at your local FedEx hub for LAG.
If you choose to hold your gecko shipment at a FedEx hub, please make sure they can accept live animals. Walgreens, Office & Print, Kinkos, etc. will not accept live animals. If they reject the shipment, live arrival and our 7 day health guarantee for geckos is void. All shipments held at the hub must be picked up within 4 hours of being available for pickup and we must be notified via text, call, email, Facebook or Instagram message of the animal’s condition within 1 hour of them being delivered to you.
For all live shipments:
Holding at a post office/FedEx hub for ALL live shipments is the safest option as they are climate controlled and the animals won’t be riding around the back of a hot or cold van for hours.
If home delivery is chosen, then the buyer must be available to receive in person on the 1st attempt and proof of DOAs in the form of photos and videos must be reported within 1 hour of delivery.
Shipments held at the post office or hub must be picked up within 4 hours and proof of any DOAs must be submitted to us within 1 hour after delivery.
Safe shipping days are always at our discretion.
If the weather is not permitting, there are known delays happening due to holidays or other reasons, or storms that could cause possible delays, shipments will be held until safe shipping conditions are present at no additional cost. Summer and winter holds are provided at no cost to you until shipping is safe. We are not responsible for incorrect addresses provided by the buyer nor shipment delays by the courier. If a package is delayed for a long period of time or is lost by the courier, we will do our best to make it right with you. We will offer a reshipment or store credit and will be in touch to come to a mutually agreed upon agreement.
Be sure to double check the shipping information you provide when ordering from us. In addition to your address, we require your email and daytime phone number. This information is required for FedEx Live Animal Shipments. If a wrong shipping address is provided our LIVE ARRIVAL & 7-DAY HEALTH GUARANTEE is void.
Shipping Information:
Shipping is calculated as flat rate. Shipping is not available to Hawaii, but we can ship to Alaska, however, shipping costs will be a bit higher. Shipping for crested geckos must go Priority Overnight through FedEx, therefore they do not apply for free special event shipping unless you meet the minimum for free overnight shipping.
You will have the option to choose your shipping method at checkout. Please choose the correct shipping method for what is in your order. If you choose "Add to an existing order" to try to get free shipping without an existing order, your order may be cancelled and your payment will be returned to you minus a 10% restocking/cancellation fee.
Tracking information will be sent to the email address provided at checkout, please use that to track your package.
All live animal orders will be packed appropriately for weather in an insulated box with added cryopaks, heat packs or cool packs when needed.
*Priority Live shipments will be shipped out Monday or Tuesday only.
*Overnight and 2nd day shipments can be sent Monday through Wednesday.
*No shipments will be sent out Thursday through Sunday unless they are dry goods.
If you need your order held for a specific date, please make a note in the special instructions box at checkout with the date you'd like to receive your package.
Dry goods placed before 2:00 PM MST may be shipped same day depending on our "normal job" work schedules. If you place a live order, we will do our best to get it packed and sent out either same day or the next if placed on a Monday or Tuesday, but it will depend entirely on work schedules due to us both working full time++ jobs.
We offer free Priority shipping on all orders over $100 and free 2 day shipping on orders over $300 year round. We also offer the option to add to an existing order as long as it has not shipped yet. Please only choose that option if you are adding to an order that you have already placed and either paid for shipping or qualified for free shipping on that existing order. If we (Gambit Geckos and the buyer) have made prior arrangements to meet up locally, you are able to choose local pick up at checkout to waive shipping costs. You also have the option to pre-order for expos we will be attending. Simply place your desired order, choose show pick up, add the show you will be picking up at in the special instructions box at checkout at we will pack your order and hold it for you at the show so you don't miss out of species we may not bring or that may sell out!
Throughout the year, we may do sales or events that include free priority shipping. We will still pack your box carefully and appropriately for the weather using insulated boxes and ice/heat packs.
Please be aware that that the free Priority shipping only applies to isopod, springtails, and/or dry goods and supplies. Geckos still must be shipped FedEx overnight and will not apply to these events but we do offer free overnight shipping once you reach $400 that can apply to geckos.
NO SHIP DATES:
We will not ship the week after Black Friday due to the high possibility of package delays at this time. We also cannot ship two weeks before or after Christmas for the same reason. We will not ship the week of major holidays depending on what day the holiday falls on. For example, if it Falls on a Monday, Friday or Saturday, we will still ship, if you choose 2nd day or overnight and the holiday falls on a Tuesday, we will ship Wednesday. But if it falls on Wednesday or Thursday, we will NOT ship that week.
If there are know delays, extreme temperatures, natural disasters, storms, etc., we will hold your shipment until safer shipping circumstances arise.
Health Guarantees:
All geckos will have a 7 day guarantee. You are responsible for contacting us via phone, text, email, or Facebook message within 1 hour of delivery to inform us of the arrival condition of your animal. All health guarantees and live arrival are null and void if you do not contact us within one hour of receiving. In the unlikely event of illness or death within 7 days, you will be offered a replacement gecko of similar quality or credit towards an available gecko. If there is not a comparable gecko available, a standing credit will be issued for Gambit Geckos use only. The cost of shipping will not be reimbursed. You must submit proof of illness or death with clear photographs and/or videos. Injuries sustained after arrival such as from other pets, inappropriate care, and other forms of physical harm will not be covered under the health guarantee.
For Isopods and Springtails:
We don’t offer a health guarantee with isopods or springtails at this time. However, we will guarantee the count that was ordered for DOAs. We will always pack an overcount to cover any casualties that may occur during the shipping process, therefore we will only guarantee the actual count that was ordered. For example, if you order a 10 count, we will pack at least 12. If 2 perish in shipping but the other 10 are fine, we can't guarantee the 2 that passed and will not refund/replace. If you are sent freebie species, they do not fall under the guarantee.
Returns and Refund Policy:
All live animal sales are final. No returns will be given under no circumstance for any reason. We will offer a reshipment or store credit, refunds may be given on certain circumstances. Please reach out and we will do our best to make sure you are happy with your experience with us. Please read below for terms of store credit offerings. If you are not happy with any dry goods that you received, depending on the circumstance, we will either offer you a replacement or refund. We may have you return the product in question and we will cover the cost of return shipping.
Payment Plans:
A non-refundable deposit of 20% will be required to hold a gecko. This applies for purchases $600and up. Purchases $600 and under should be paid in full unless otherwise communicated. If you change your mind on the particular gecko you have placed on hold, the deposit amount may be used as credit towards another available gecko. A payment is due every two weeks after initial deposit until paid. The buyer is responsible for making on-time payments. We will reach out if a payment is 3 days late to issue a reminder. If we don't hear from you within a week of a missed payment, deposit and all previous payments that have been made toward your hold will be forfeited and the animal on hold will be listed for sale again. We understand life can throw some unexpected curve balls and are more than willing to work with you, in reason. Please reach out to us and let us know if you will be unable to make a payment. If you are unable to continue making future payments, all previous payments, minus your 20% deposit, will be issued to you in the form of store credit. All sales are conducted through PayPal, Venmo, or Square invoice. On hold animals will be sent out when the last payment has been received if shipping is safe. If shipping is unavailable at that time, we will hold your animal at no cost to you until it is safe to ship. All animals are first come, first serve. Discounts are valid on payment plans unless otherwise stated. No animals will be held without payment. ALL LIVE ANIMAL SALES ARE FINAL and Under no circumstances are any payments received refundable.
Sexing:
All geckos listed as male or female are guaranteed to be that gender. All possible male or possible female geckos are not guaranteed. Attempts will be made to PORE CHECK but does not guarantee sex.
Disclaimer:
All animals are photographed to show as much detail as possible. Attempts will be made to fire up the geckos but is not guaranteed. All animals are photographed with high quality photography equipment. There will be no filters used.. Colors may vary slightly from photograph to "in person" view due to lighting, computer/phone displays, etc. We will do our best to try to caputure the best possible photos to represent the animal. Sales will not be made to minors under the age of 18. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any sale with the best interest of the animal in mind. When purchasing from Gambit Geckos, you are agreeing to the terms above.
